MAX Molybdenum Project: Permit Received

 News Release #19-04

Vancouver, British Columbia, October 26, 2004: Roca Mines Inc. ("Roca" or the "Company") announces that it has received a permit from the British Columbia Ministry of Energy and Mines to rehabilitate the primary access road to its MAX Molybdenum Project at Trout Lake, B.C. A contractor has been mobilized to the site and will re-establish approximately 5 kilometres of access road. Re-establishing the road will allow for snow removal and ready access to Roca personnel during the winter months for the next phase of underground exploration and scoping studies as described in Roca's press release dated September 21, 2004 (ROK#16-04).

The new permit will also allow the Company to excavate and re-open the MAX Project portal to provide access to approximately 2000m of existing underground adit, crosscuts and drifts. Roca intends to access the adit for an initial assessment of conditions prior to beginning the infill drilling program recommended by Mr. Terry Macauley, P.Eng in the updated 43-101 resource calculation and technical report on the Max Molybdenum Project.
